Anycast isn't IPv6 specific. Many providers (like Google) use IPv4 anycast. Also web hosting isn't the best example for anycast because a routing change on the internet can cause TCP flows to be redirected which resets user connections. Anycast is mostly used for DNS since it's UDP and stateless.
