History of Multi Image Slide Presentations

Working in film and show production in the ‘80s and ‘90s (you can see my visual resume here), I was kind of adjacent to the film slide-based “multi Image” productions used in corporate and museum shows up through the late 1990s, when video projection finally started becoming good. Here’s a link to a pretty interesting article in the MIT Technology Review by Claire L. Evans titled, “Next slide, please: A brief history of the corporate presentation“. And from the article I searched out Douglas Mesney, nicknamed “The King of Slides,” who has a fascinating archive website here and main page here. There’s also an interesting youtube channel “AV Archaeology”.
