The Story Behind the Photo #10: Stormy Sand Dunes

Back in August 2010, I did a last minute road trip to check off state #49 from my list--New Mexico (the only one left for me is Hawaii). I flew in and out of Colorado, and chased a storm  down through the incredible Great Sand Dunes National Park (on my way to a motel located in a drive-in movie theatre). I got there right around sunset, and then shot this photo.  The sand dunes themselves are back there behind the rain.  More photos here,
