Updated June 20, 2009:
On this page, I had written a snarky reaction to Bret Michael's press agent's release after the incident at the Tony Awards. A friend sent me the release, and in about 15 minutes I wrote a rant about it, assuming that the readers of this site would understand where I was coming from.
But the post, which was viewed by nearly 500 visitors, was misconstrued by some. I've been travelling a lot and I started having to deal with more and more anonymous troll attacks, and earnest but ill-informed comments that would take way too much time to explain away.
Those who know me know that when I feel strongly about something, I never back down from a fight. But, frankly, I don't care enough about this subject to waste time rewriting the post to make sure that I would be interpreted as clearly as possible by everyone. So, even though I stand by every thing I wrote in the original rant, for the first time in over a year of blogging, I deleted the post.
I'm just back from a week in Orlando and I have a lot of other, far more important stuff to write up before I travel out of town again.
In the future, I'll keep my casual rants amongst friends.
You can still see my first post on the subject and video of the incident here.
