Talking About Networking at USITT St. Louis in March

I will be talking networking Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM CDT at USITT in Saint Louis! Here’s the session description:

Based on John Huntington’s 2020 book Introduction to Show Networking, this talk details a methodical, step-by-step process for analyzing network needs and basic system design for systems like lighting, sound, video, and even scenic automation. Topics covered include basic needs analysis, subnet structure, network topology, documentation, network verification, security, and reliability. The process is generally understandable by beginners, but those with a basic understanding of IP addresses and networking concepts will be able to understand the concepts at a deeper level.
